About The Nook
About Us
The Nook on Pike is more than a shop—it’s a family story rooted right here in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
What started as a dream between a mother, father, daughter, and son-in-law quickly became a beloved local brick-and-mortar store, filled with all things eclectic, vintage, and unexpected. For three wonderful years, we welcomed our community into our storefront, until life inspired a new chapter. In 2024, we sold our shop to one of our talented vendors, Megan, who now runs The Canonsburg Collective—a vibrant space for artisans and resellers. We’re proud to still be a part of it, operating our business inside and partnering with Megan on our shared passion project, Estella Gray Marketplace & Furniture.
Our journey didn’t stop there. One of our original vendors opened her own shop, Likely Treasures, and we expanded once again, joining her storefront as vendors. Today, The Nook on Pike is thriving in both locations, surrounded by the very community that helped us grow.
We’re a family-run business—the Ammons and the Beckers—united by our obsession with unique finds, antique treasures, and pieces with stories to tell. Our specialty is refinishing antique furniture, with a deep love for the craftsmanship and charm of the 1800s. We believe in championing the “impossible” dreams of small businesses, and in creating spaces and pieces as bold and imaginative as the people who enjoy them.
Our decision to step back from owning a physical storefront was fueled by personal milestones—Dianna’s well-earned retirement, and Chelsea’s focus on starting a family and restoring her grandparents’ home. But while our structure has changed, our passion hasn’t.
In our final year as a brick-and-mortar, we were humbled to be named Best Gift Shop in Washington County in the Observer-Reporter’s Best of the Best 2024 contest—a title that reflects the heart, creativity, and community behind The Nook on Pike.
We can’t wait to see where the next chapter takes us—and we’re so glad you’re part of the story.
